It all started when…

…I became a big sister at the age of two.

I am the eldest of three children. Growing up, I relished the position of being first to try new things and handling responsibility early on. So by the time my siblings were hitting big milestones, I was full of advice. When faced with anything in life that requires one to be vulnerable and daring; being told what to do hardly helps. However, having someone you can open up to without fear, judgement or resentment does. I have always been approachable and open minded, and often times that allowed my siblings to feel comfortable sharing themselves with me. So really, being an older sister has paved my way to becoming a teacher.

Although, once upon a time, my siblings didn’t always have a choice when it came to being my students, I realize now that it is they who gave me the greatest gift. Their trust inspired me to become a person who wants to help.

The technique of acting is my tool to make the journey to adulthood a little easier; my classroom the vehicle, my passion- the guide.
